Health & Safety Policy

The Best Co. recognizes its responsibility for providing all employees with a healthy and safe environment in which to work.

The company aims to maintain conditions and procedures, which provide maximum protection for all who have contact with the company whether as employees, customers, contractors or member of the general public.

The Best Co. acknowledges and accepts the principles and responsibilities which are embodied in these acts, regulations and by-laws which relate to health and safety in the work –place. By following these statutory requirements it is our aim to minimize the potential risk or loss to personnel, property and products.

The responsibilities, which the company carries in this area, demand the commitment of all managers and supervisors and require the personal cooperation and assistance of every employee.

It will be the responsibility of all managers and supervisors to continually review their operations and working conditions, providing adequate instruction, information and training to all their personnel. All employees employed at The Best Co. are required to follow all local safety rules, reporting unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to their supervisor.

All employees of The Best Co. shall promote personal responsibility and effort on the part of everyone to avoid and prevent health hazards and injuries to themselves and to others who may be affected by their acts or omissions and to co-operate with the organization to comply with its duties, requirements and statutory obligations.

All employees and suppliers of The Best Co. are required to become involved in and committed to a continuing program of safety and loss control, which is aimed to prevent loss to people, property and product.

Environmental Policy

The Best Co. believes that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods.

It is our priority to encourage our clients, suppliers and all stakeholders to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.

Our policy is to:
Wholly support and comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and codes of practice related to Trading including NEQS.
Minimize our waste and then reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.
Operate and maintain company vehicles (where appropriate) with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical and encourage the use of alternative means of transport and car sharing as appropriate.
As far as possible purchase products and services that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same.
 
Provide relevant training and awareness to employees as well as other quarters of society to improve environmental and industrial awareness at all levels of work
Minimize energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies, and minimize our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.
Apply the principles of EMS continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community.
Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce in advance.
